Ponds - definitely not beauty cream

They are finally expanding our pond.
I don't think it will be usable for a month or so...
but it will definitely be big enough for hockey.

Panorama

Is that a kind of hat? Sorry, couldn't resist. I have been putting some of my panoramas together in the past month or so. (I have more!) These are some of my favorites. This requires either a very good sense of balance, or a good tripod. Maybe I should try a tripod...
The beautiful, the sublime,the grand,
the one and only Metalak Island!
Pardon my poetic lapse there...
make sure you zoom in on the right hand side, on the beach.
One of the most spectacularly strange sunsets I have ever seen. It was during the end of a thunderstorm. Also at Metalak Island.
Curtis Cove from Losey's front yard... what a sad life they lead (NOT!)Curtis Cove a bit later...
good things come to those who wait.
Panther Pond from the top of Tarkiln Hill
Misty, foggy sunset
Near the intersection of Greenwood Rd and Pleasant Hill Rd
Phang Nha Bay, Krabi, Thailand
Several of these are much wider, and some are a complete circle. I haven't figured out how to import that yet.

Against the Grain

A friend of mine gave me this intriguing idea - finding shapes in woodgrain, and super-imposing a picture over it... here are my first attempts

Sunrise, Sunset

Hey folks!
It's a new year, and a busy one for me. I see that I haven't posted here since February. I guess I have been having way too much fun working, etc. I have some more pix to share with you all...
One cold morning...

Farm on Pleasant Hill Road.
I took picture from Woodside Road

Same sunrise from across the road from above mentioned farm.

Sunset taken on Woodside
road just past intersection going towards Penner's House.

Photo Week

I'm taking more photos this week...

Early morning from the 2nd story of my greenhouse. For those of you who know Maynard, note his poor truck - A tree fell on the cab, and then on the way out of the woods, the transmission blew.

Here's a cool little chapel in East Raymond that I like

I thought I would try some sunset pictures...

These are taken on Woodside Drive just up towards the Penner's from the Pleasant Hill Road intersection.

Here's the latest resolution on the satellite photos on Google. This is my place. Type in your address in the map section, and zoom in!

Snow...

Well, we finally got a real snowstorm on Wednesday. Maine got anywhere from 16" to 48", depending on where you live.

I had to pile up the snow a mite...
no telling what the next storm will bring.

Old Bessie still knows how to push snow.

This is our picnic table with a little frosting on the top...if you get my drift.

Speaking of picnic...at work the computer department uses picnic as an acronym for some PC troubles they run into:
Problem
In
Chair
Not
In
Computer.
Ha Ha...

Here are some pictures from my Alma Mater...
